Saya menyanyikan lagu Selimut Putih ketika Alif Matiin membuat persediaan untuk subjek tauhid, memahami nama-nama malaikat dan tugas masing-masing. Hingga selesai ujian tauhid sekolah agama, Alif Matiin masih suka mendengar lagu tersebut. Saya juga jadi insaf apabila tiba di baris, janganlah mahu disanjung-sanjung, engkau digelar manusia agung. Sedarlah diri tahu diuntung, sebelum masa keranda diusung. Ya, Allah sesungguhnya Engkau suka mengampuni hamba-Mu, maka ampunilah kami. Ampunilah kesombongan dalam hati kami, walau kami tahu tidak masuk jiwa yang angkuh dalam syurga-Mu...

saya menemui ini, setelah begitu lama mencari:
Dua when someone praises you & you know you don't deserve that praise
1. Versi Shaykh Albaanee (Sheikh Albani/ Sheikh Muhammad Nasiruddin Al-Albani)
Statement of Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him):
"O Allah, don't hold me responsible for that which they say, make me better then that which they think of me. And forgive me for that which they don't know."
(“O Allah! Do not hold me to account for what they say, and make me better than what they think, and forgive me concerning those things they do not know about.”)
dan lihat/dengarlah kerendahan hati Sheikh Albanee dalam mengucapkan doa ini:

2. Versi dari FB Robert Davila yang lumpuh seluruh badan (a friend of Nouman Ali Khan)
Allahummaj'alni khayran mimma yadhunnoona waghfirli ma la ya’lamoona wa la tu'akhidhni bi ma yaquloon.
O Allah, make me better than what they think of me, and forgive me for what they do not know about me, and do not take me to account for what they say about me.
[This supplication was not taught to us by the Prophet (SAW), but it is one that his best friend, Abu Bakr (ra) would make after being praised. Some narrations state that it was a duaa of Ali (ra).]

Sdr Nb yang tidak saya kenali,
Sdr datang seperti mendengar apa yang hati saya sedang rintihkan. Saat ujian datang dengan rupa puji-pujian yang sebenarnya tidak benar. Allah!
Jazakallah khayr.
