Dr. Mawar,

A picture paints a thousand words......so they say..

The green foreground made up of rice leaves reminds me of life. Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony. source: http://www.crystal-cure.com/green.html

The sunlight reminds me of the "Light" in Sura AN-NUUR verse 35. The Light generates glow on otherwise unnoticebalbe weed's flower minggle among the rice plants. The rice plants produce pannicles, the pannicles branch into primary rachis and the primary rachis further branch into secondary rachis, and then to tertiary rachis. The tertiary rachis hold the rice grains. That may somewhat describes what is being offered to ummah with the first flicker of light on Friday morning..... By the way, there is something new on my blog...)

Purplemelastoma @ Prof Ismad Astar,

alhamdulillah, appreciate the enlightenment... i love the verse and always love:

GOD is the light of heavens n the earth. the similitude of HIS light is as a niche wherein is a lamp. the lamp is in a glass. the glass is as it were a shining star. this lamp is kindled from a blessed tree, an olive neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil wld almost glow forth of itself though no fire touched it. light upon light, GOD guides to HIS light whom HE wills. and GOD speaks to people in allegories, for GOD is Knower of all things.

ps: interested to hv yr novel though...
